If you think a well-grown bulbocodioides ‘Yunnan’ is a stunner, try this one. One of the loveliest deep-purples in cultivation with elegant medium-size flowers reminiscent of a species Pleione. The colour is of the darkest vibrant purple, with reddish-purple spotting on the lip, all contrasted by the prominent white keels. An early triumph of Butterfield breeding and a clone that more than holds its own amongst more modern cultivars.
