Originating from a repeat cross by Günter Bergel in Germany, material was then passed to Ian Butterfield who selected and named this clone. Whereas most Bonobos are shades of yellow, this one is a true ‘bi-colour’ with pure white sepals and petals and a yellow lip heavily spotted with red. Very few bulbs were ever parted with. My stock was obtained from Ian’s friend Rainer Kretz (Gold Hill Pleiones) who recognized the potential of this clone. Still exceedingly rare in collections.
