One of the first new clones of this species to reach the UK in the early 1980’s when Ian Butterfield obtained stock from Chugai Nurseries in Japan. A fine form of this variable and widely distributed species with handsome, rose-purple flowers and a well-marked lip. Selected and named by Rainer Kretz.
