Selected and named by Rainer Kretz from Butterfield stock, this is a particularly fine, colourful clone of this dainty, species-like hybrid. If we accept the argument that Pln. limprichtii is but a form of the very variable P. bulbocodiodes, this isn’t a hybrid at all! The flowers are uniformly rich purple throughout with the lip heavily marked with deep purple blotches.
