As far as I am aware, this is the first and quite possibly still the only pure white Pleione ever produced. Most white forms have either yellow or purple lip markings but ‘Purity’ has a snow-white lip without any hint of another colour being present. Spotted by Rainer Kretz in a pan of mixed clones and built up from a single bulb over many years until his stock was passed onto me.
