Perhaps the most vigorous clone of Shantung, making huge pseudobulbs under the right cultural conditions. More understated than ‘Ridgeway’ with soft, more muted and harmonious colours of pale apricot-yellow with a contrasting richly marked lip. Grown to perfection by the late Gerry Mundey who selected this clone from Dr. Harberd’s seedlings. Named by Rainer Kretz in memory of an outstanding specialist grower. This variety has an exquisite scent that can fill the greenhouse on a sunny day.
