A cross between a spring- and an autumn flowering species. Originally registered by a German grower but no material ever reached the UK until Ian Butterfield re-made this cross some years later. It was then remade a second time in 1994 by Rainer Kretz. Only one seedling survived which forms the basis of my stock. As one would expect from a primary cross, the plants are intermediate between the two parents but my clone is distinct from the Butterfield hybrid which leans more towards Pln. humilis.
