AM/RHS (formosana x confusa)
One of the best known and most desirable varieties at one time, grown to perfection by Ken Redshaw of Springwood Pleiones. This hybrid caused a stir when it was first shown as it introduced a new and previously unknown colour combination into the genus. Created by Dr. David Harberd of Leeds University, the apricot-mauve flowers are of good shape with a fabulous yellow “forrestii” lip which is heavily marked in rich red. Previously common, it is now rarely seen.
