Although in botanical terms not a true Albino this is one of the top Whites in cultivation. In bud it is the palest of blush-pinks before turning into white. Large flowers of good shape and excellent proportions are complimented by a stunning lip richly marked with egg yolk yellow. Crème e la crème! Here is what the great orchidologist Dr Philip Cribb said in his AGS article of June ’21: “My own favourites are several: the pale P. Hertha Kretz ‘Stroeppken’ with pale pink tepals and a white lip marked with gold is perfect.”
